Boyd Cycling

Boyd Johnson (creator and founder) was fortunate enough to have been riding and racing his bike most of his life. Boyd started racing when he was 13, and by the time he was 18 he was travelling around the US to compete in races. As he kept going, he was fortunate enough to be sponsored by many different wheel companies, and had the chance to race pretty much every major option out there. He could see what made wheels good, what made them not so good, and what he could do differently. In 2009 he was finishing up his final season on a professional team, and the timing was perfect to launch "Boyd Cycling".

At the start they were selling bike frames, wheelsets, handlebars, and bottle cages. Very quickly the wheels started gaining traction and turning popular, so that's when Boyd made the decision to focus on creating and manufacturing the best possible quality wheels out there.
